Letter 57

Fam!!!!

To start this letter off, remember how I broke the door frame last week! Yep make that 2! haha last Monday we went over to the Fairchild's house to pick up our laundry and eat dinner and we were down stairs playing pool and they had a pull up bar just like mine so I asked if their dad uses it so I figured I was good! And yep broke another one! I guess I'm just getting to swolle you know! ha I went and bought them a new one that night. But this week was really busy! I still had a pretty bad cold so I was shootin boogers out allllll week! :) I was taking enough cold medicine to put a rhino down though so that helped ha! But cool things this week was on Monday we went bowling and I thought I would be a little rusty for not bowling for a year....but I was wrong bowled a 152! STILL GOT IT! On Friday we went over to see a less active family named the Martin family. And her husband isn't a member but a way cool guy. He has a Ford Shelby Cobra GT 500 Mustang and he took us on  a ride. It was so fast. we hit 120 in no time haha we were laughing like a bunch of school girls in there. I'll send ya some pics of it. But other then all that we have been really busy this week. We got some new investigators and they are doing awesome. We picked up our other investigators sister Sandy and she has read 12 pages of The Book of Mormon so she is doing good. Oh ya and on Wednesday we went over to help out our investigator Diana get some stuff from an old folks home and while me and Pelsue were waiting by the Elevators and it must of been the main drag for the old people cause they were everywhere. ha they were way funny. This one lady was trying to get by this old gale trying to get her mail and she was a little bigger and the lady trying to get past her said " Your too fat I cant get past you!" haha I was dying! Then right after that we were still just sitting there and this cute little 84 year old lady came out of the elevators and looked at us and started talking to us as if we were best friends. She told us she just won 20,000 bucks, and how she loves to go out dancing. ha then she told us "even though I'm 84 I can still kick anyone's ass!" hahahaha me and Pelsue just about lost it after that one! But we tried to see if we could get a chunk of that 20 grand but it didn't happen. ha :). But we have just been meeting with a lot of members trying to get Referrals and seeing our investigators. Yesterday was fun too We had to do the double dinner throw down, so we had to eat dinner then go eat again. It was ruff. But while we waited to go in for our second dinner we first had to jump the sisters car cause they ride the short bus! ha But there was some kids playing basketball across the street so we went over and played with them. It was fun ha they were having fun, I would pick them up so they could dunk it! I think there parent thought we were cops or creepers but they can deal with it. But that was my week love you guys!

Letter 56

Hi fam

 

This week was a good one! Lots happened. We will start with Tuesday, it was a bit of a donkey show at first but what do you do. So we first had a appointment with a LA ,Al he is doing good. After that we had to hurry over to the Emmerson church for District meeting and I decided to stop and get some Ice cream for the sisters cause they were a bit on the sassy side last week, I don't know what it was maybe just that time if you know what I'm sayin haha but Ice cream fixes that! But the meeting went good and after is where it went south. We all went to a pizza place as a zone and after we were done we were walking back to our car and there was a little boxer dog tied to a tree, so me and Pelsue went over and started petting it and I forgot how excited these flipping dogs get and it peed alllllll over my freaking shoe!! oh man I was mad!! I could of booted it across the street! So after I was done rubbing my shoe through the snow to get it off we headed home! ha  And it only gets better after this! So Wednesday morning me and Pelsue were doing our regular get swole session by doing pull ups and all that good stuff to keep our beach bodies you know, and I was on my 4th set and right as I was going up for pull up number 10 the door frame snapped and this ginger came a crashing down haha E.Pelsue was like what the flip did you do! hahaha I still had the bar in my hands even after the crash! haha Sooooo were in the process of going to find us a new door frame! haha I guess I'm getting too swole you know! haha Thursday it was so cold. Me and Pelsue did our normal day of walking in it and we ended up getting sick with a little cold because of it, but poop happens you know! I got my hook ups in church yesterday for some cold drugs so I'm covered! Friday afternoon we wanted to go find Annelise cause we haven't seen her and Tara in a while so we stopped by her work. She works at a special needs care place. Where all the kids from 1 to old as dirt are there because they have many different problems. So we went over and found her and she gave us a tour. Those kids there are really cool, some had like foam coming out of there mouth which almost made me soil my pants at first but they are really cool kids. There was a kid there who can play the x box with his feet! haha it was legit! And we met a kid who is 10 but is in a body of a 2 year old, he is a stud, were going to go over and play with some of the kids this week so I'll take pics with them and send them to you guys next week. Also I got to do a baptism interview that night for some sister's investigator in my district. Her name was Denise, she is a cool girl, and is ready to get dunked. She did need to get a second interview cause of some questions she kind of failed but we had a good talk, and she still was able to get baptized yesterday.She was happy about it so that was good. Oh and Friday night we went over to a members house and ate some steak! it was soooooooooooo good! But Saturday was just meetings all day then we had a cool lesson with a member who is trying to quit smoking so we set some good goals with her.Then we went to the church because the youth wanted us to come play dodge ball! And we wrecked those little punks haha But yesterday I got up and bore my testimony on missionary work and I talked about the book Ashley sent me about missionary work. It went good. even though I couldn't breath due to the cold I got but they got the point, I told them they can barrow the book for a little fee of 5 bucks a day or feed us dinner haha I think some of them thought I was serious! But that was my week love you guys better be reading your scripture and praying!

Letter 55

wuz up!

This week was flipping crazy! I got my new comp Elder Pelsue coming from Colorado but originally from Mesa, AZ. Also I don't have my Koreans in my district anymore which I'm not very happy about that but my new district is cool. I feel like I'm a relief society teacher now. I have 4 sisters and 2 elders! But I made it fun we played some basketball game I made up and I was just teasing everybody on there shooting it was fun. Thursday was pretty crazy. It was our walking day and since there is so much snow the side walks are covered. So we walked over to a less active named Sandy who owns the deli and we have to walk up a main highway to get there. And we had to walk in the road cause we didn't have side walks it was pretty sketchy. We would run down the high way then jump into a drive way and let cars fly by. Friday was pretty boring nothing to big. But Saturday was way cool. We had breakfast at our ward mission leaders place. Then after we took our piece of a Toyota into STS for a oil change and while we were there me and Pelsue were zoned in on sports magazines and a guy walked in and started talking to us, he went to Utah for school and he was nice but not a huge fan of religion. So after he left there was a lady sitting next to him while we were talking and she started asked us what we did again. So we talked to her about what we do and she asked if it was hard being away from our families and we said ohh ya but its worth it by helping other people. Then it got intense she opened up big time and started talking how she has been going through hard times lately. She just got a divorce and lost her brother 4 months ago and she started to cry. So I went over and sat by her and we started teaching her about the Book of Mormon and the plan of salvation and every time me or elder Pelsue would testify to her she would start crying harder. ha She put her sunglasses on cause she didn't want anyone to see but it was way cool. We gave her a Book of Mormon and our number and when we were leaving she gave us a big hug and said I knew there was something special about you guys.ha I mean ya were good looking and stuff but we got that Jesus light to us haha. It was really cool though makes it easier to stay out cause sometimes you feel like no ones is listening to you anymore. But after that we went over and taught our investigator Babby and her fam with a member, Then we went over to a less actives house for lunch. She made us a huge bowl of safichay, which is a Spanish dish. It's like salsa with shrimp in it, and she said we couldn't leave till it was gone so me and Pelsue hammered down 4 bowls of it. I was soo full, Then I played a game of chess with her husband who isn't a member and he destroyed me! Then we went right over to another members house and had dinner, I was gonna throw the flip up!! But I didn't so no worries. And yesterday Greg the guy I played chess with came to church so that was good. But that was my week peeps!
